FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
CONYERS ROTARY CLUB AND 67,000 ROTARIANS BEING ASKED TO FEED A CHILD ON VALENTINE’S DAY

February 20, 2014, Conyers, GA, The Conyers Rotary Club will begin a campaign to eradicate hunger in their local community future and the Conyers Rotary club will lead the initiative by dedicating a catalyst day to emphasize this critical need in our communities. We change lives. This effort will be duplicated by more than 1,580 clubs from Delaware to Trinidad. Our children are our future and Conyers Rotary club will give one full day of attention to this critical need in our communities. Local officials will join in this celebration, along with Senator Ronald Ramsey who will issue a Senate Resolution declaring February 14, 2014, as “Rotary Has Heart”. The ceremony will occur at 12:00 noon at Cameron Hall at 1035 Green Street, Conyers, GA. The local Rotary Has Heart Chair coordinator, Diane Adoma and President Neal Sanford of Conyers Rotary Club will present a check from Rotarians to the local food bank to feed children. In the United States, more than one out of five children lives in a household with food insecurity, which means they do not always know where they will find their next meal. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), 16.7 million children under 18 in the United States live in this condition – unable to consistently access nutritious and adequate amounts of food necessary for a healthy life. If your club does not already have a plan to do something to feed hungry children on Valentine’s Day, begin now to look for a way to help.
